This unique party is celebrated the second weekend of August. This party has been held since 1985 and emerged from the idea of some friends who thought of making a kind of tribute to all the emigrants who years ago had to leave Fuente-Tójar in search of work.
This party that at the beginning was nothing more than a gathering of friends who made a meal where part of the residents of Fuente-Tójar also participated, has become over the years one of the most visited in the region.
Years ago they created the Gastronomic-Cultural Association 'Amigos de la Alcaparra' and it is the members of the same, with the collaboration of the City Council, responsible for organizing this party, which has the peculiarity that on Saturday there is a meal for everyone Attendees who buy a ticket with a symbolic price, receive a jug and a clay dish. With the dish you can pick up the dinner that night you have prepared and with the jug enjoy an open bar of beer, sangria and soft drinks.
Another unique part of this party is the 'la borriquita del vino' parade that runs through the streets of the town accompanied by a charanga and distributing goodies and gifts among children and tasting of white wine among the elderly.
As for the program of activities planned for this edition, it will begin on Friday, August 9 at 9:30 p.m. with the parade of 'La borriquita del vino' which will be accompanied by the charanga group 'The street music' and in which They will distribute sweets for children and wine for the elderly. Subsequently, a light and sound show by Taeconvers and the Akelarre orchestra is planned.
On Saturday, the traditional ‘Pela de los Duraznos’ will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., to continue in the afternoon with a water party at the municipal swimming pool. Already at night, at 9:00 pm, ‘La borriquita del vino’ will return, giving way to the distribution of caper dishes and the tasting menu of ‘Susurros del Perezón’.
The Fiesta de la Alcaparra is organized by the Friends of the Alcaparra Cultural Gastronomic Association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Fuente-Tójar and the Diputación de Córdoba.
