Malt is a product consisting of roasted barley grains with numerous advantages. It does not contain stimulating substances, which makes it very suitable for nervous or hypertensive people and helps to carry out good digestion.
Roasted barley
Malt is a product made from roasted barley. In the same way that the consumption of chicory is deeply rooted in the Cantabrian and Atlantic cornices, in the Mediterranean area the consumption habit is directed towards malt.
Properties:
Malt is ideal as a substitute for coffee and to mix with chicory and obtain a drink with all the properties of chicory and the nutritional value of barley.
Utilities:
It can be taken alone or mixed with chicory (in a proportion according to taste, usually 1 tablespoon of chicory for every 3 malt).
It is also used to prepare the well-known "barley water", which is widely consumed in the Levantine area.
Preparation:
Prepare the infusion in an espresso, electric or Italian coffee maker.
